CR7 RESCUES JUVE!!

Cristiano Ronaldo was back to justify his status as the best ever in Europe's elite competition as his hat-trick overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit against Atletico Madrid to send Juventus into the Champions League at Turin in Italy.

He brought the tie level with two headers on either side of half time, before capping off a remarkable performance by smashing in the tie-winner from the penalty spot four minutes from time.
In an interview with Ronaldo after the interview he said, “this is why Juve brought me in, to help on magic nights like this". There were speculations that Juventus may be knocked of the elite league due to the first leg lose in Madrid few weeks ago.

It was his 124th goal in the Champions League and eighth hat-trick in the competition. He now has scored 24 goals against old foes Atletico Madrid in 33 appearances He now has 125 UCL goals in 160 appearances, 63 of those have come in the knockout stages. Ronaldo has now equaled Lionel Messi's tally of 8 hat tricks in the Champions. This is 1st time Juventus have overturned a first-leg defeat to go through since 2005/06. This is the 1st time that someone’s Atlético was knocked out of UCL by a different team than Real Madrid.
Amtoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid midfielder said, he fills guilty for the loss as he said that he did not perform well.

“we did not enter the game, we knew it was going to be difficult and we chose a bad day to screw it up, everyone is f****ed up and feel guilty because I could not keep up with the pace of the game.”

Meanwhile Ex CR7 team, Real Madrid, is out of elite league as it was booted out by Ajax last week.

Zidane Returns as Real Madrid Coach

Zinedine Zidane has returned as Real Madrid manager just 10 months after leaving the Spanish giants. The Frenchman replaces Santiago Solari, who was in charge for less than five months. Former Real midfielder Zidane, 46, who left in May after leading the club to a third straight Champions League trophy, has agreed to take over until 2022, the club announced.
Real Madrid are currently third in La Liga, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona. Solari was sacked after a 4-1 win over Real Valladolid on Sunday, which followed a shock Champions League exit to Ajax. That 4-1 home defeat and 5-3 aggregate loss to the Dutch side was the final straw for Real president Florentino Perez.
In an interview with supersport, Zidane said he has returned because he loves the team.
"It's a special day for everyone," he said at his presentation. "I'm very happy to come back home. I don't have anything to say, I'm very happy to be back and I want to work to put this club back where it should be.
"I left because a change was needed at end of last season, for the good of everyone, as they had won so much. I returned as the president called me, and I love him, and this club. After 8 months, I was eager to return to coaching. At the end of [last] season, I made the decision for the good of everyone."
"It's a great responsibility. All the players here love this club a lot, and I am one more, I played with this badge, I won a lot of things."
Zidane led Madrid to three consecutive Champions League triumphs and nine trophies in total before he stepped down in May last year.
