Govt to slush price of FISP fertilizer to Mk5000 per 50kg bag
Government has reduced prices of Farm Input Subsidy Programme (FISP) fertilizer to MK5000 per 50kg bag in the 2020/2021 farming season.
Minister of Finance and Economic Development Joseph Mwanamvekha disclosed this in the National Assembly when presenting the 2020/21 National Budget.
According to Mwanamvekha, government has allocated MK38 billion to FISP which will have about 1 million beneficiaries.
Mwanamvekha said 100,000 families would get free fertilizer and farm inputs this farming season.
