IPOR survey finds Chakwera likely to win

 
Findings of a survey released today has pitted MCP leader - Lazarus Chakwera as likely candidate to win the Fresh Presidential Elections, slated for June 23, Tuesday next week by about 58%.
The survey conducted by the Institute of Public Opinion and Research has also exposed governance concerns with the governing DPP.
Presenting the findings Dr. Boniface Dulani, director of research at the institute said most of the respondents said they rated Chakwera highly as the most qualified to govern the country as next president of the republic.
According to the survey, the MCP leader has scored highly as the most trustworthy and most peaceful presidential candidate followed by his running mate - Saulos Chilima.
Chakwera, has also according to the survey emerged the favorite accross all the age brackets from 18 years beyond 68 years of birth.
Broken down by regions, Chakwera who is leading the Tonse Alliance, has according to the survey also emerged the favorite candidate among voters in the North and Central regions and fairly in the Southern region.
