Job seekers injured at Katoto

Several job seekers have been injured at Katoto Secondary School in Mzuzu as they pushed their way into the premises for interviews.
The Ministry of Health is currently recruiting healthcare workers at Mzuzu Central Hospital.
Applicants are expected to undergo interviews for the posts of health surveillance assistant at Katoto Secondary School.
Albert Ngolombe, one of the applicants for the position, says authorities delayed opening the gate, prompting the job seekers to start pushing their way into the premises. He says others jumped over the fence and got injured in the process.
One of the applicants is feared dead, but Mzuzu Central Hospital spokesperson Arnold Kayira says he does not have any information on hand; hence, cannot confirm or deny the death.
He, however, confirmed that several applicants have been rushed to the hospital, with some requiring x-rays and operations
