The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is in talks with mobile phone service providers to resolve the technical glitches on its voter verification platform.
The SMS platform which was meant to start operating yesterday is currently un-operational.
This has raised fears among the electorate who are not able to visit poling centres to verify their details as the commission has only allocated two days for the exercise.
MEC Director of Media and Public Relations, Sangwani Mwafulirwa assures the public that the system will remain active up to the polling day once the anomalies have been resolved.
